Role Overview

This role requires a development journalist to cover the industry from a unique angle, highlighting key stories and trends. The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for global development, excellent reporting skills, and the ability to engage with readers directly.

The successful applicant will be responsible for breaking news, conducting exclusive interviews, and producing high-quality content that informs and educates the development community.

The role is designed for an experienced beat reporter who can demonstrate a proven track record of delivering original reporting and building a robust network of sources.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver in-depth coverage of global development issues
  • Conduct high-level interviews with leaders and decision-makers
  • Write engaging articles, features, and quick-hit news pieces
  • Develop a deep understanding of the aid industry and its various stakeholders
  • Collaborate with other reporters, editors, and production teams to produce high-quality content

Requirements:

  • At least 2 years of experience as a beat reporter
  • Proven track record of breaking stories and delivering original reporting
  • Native level of English with excellent written English
  • A bachelor's degree in journalism or a related field
