Key Responsibilities

We are seeking an experienced Cost Estimator to lead the delivery of cost management in commercial, retail, residential, and transportation projects. The ideal candidate will have significant technical knowledge and experience in cost management, as well as excellent project management skills.

The role involves creating project costings and budgets from objectives, managing finances to meet profit and budgetary targets, and achieving best value outcomes. Demonstrable understanding of clients' key objectives within the appropriate sector is essential.

Key accountabilities include:

  • Leading the delivery of cost management in commercial, retail, residential, and transportation projects.
  • Delivering projects within cost, time, and quality standards.
  • Creating project costings and budgets from objectives.
  • Managing finances to meet profit and budgetary targets.
  • Achieving best value outcomes.
Qualifications & Experience

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent.
  • 15 to 25 years of relevant experience in cost and commercial management, with a strong focus on mobility projects.
  • Master's Degree (advantageous).
  • MRICS (Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors) certification is mandatory.
  • Proven expertise in cost estimation, budgeting, and financial forecasting.
  • Effective communication skills to convey technical concepts, negotiate contracts, and interact with clients, team members, and stakeholders.
