Job Summary

This role is responsible for maintaining the accuracy, completeness and timeliness of inventory movements in process orders. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of cost accounting principles and be able to monitor unit costs to ensure daily moving average costs are not distorted due to errors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain accurate and complete records of inventory movements in process orders
  • Monitor unit costs to ensure daily moving average costs are not distorted due to errors
  • Provide monthly production variance and yield analysis reports
  • Ensure all common costs are allocated accordingly
  • Update cost allocation parameters when necessary
  • Monitor and report on monthly overhead costs
  • Charge manufacturing expenses to the correct cost center
  • Measure and highlight key performance indicators
  • Obtain volume confirmation every month
  • Perform month-end cost accounting close
  • Conduct monthly performance reviews with the production team
  • Support the finance team with monthly and quarterly reporting
Semi-Annual/Annual Responsibilities
  • Support the finance team with annual budgeting and reforecasting
  • Prepare and assist external auditors
  • Perform cost roll-up as requested by IT or the accounting controller
Requirements
  • Strong understanding of cost accounting principles
  • Ability to analyze data and provide insights
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
