Job Description

We are seeking a seasoned engineering leader to spearhead our team of software engineers. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical expertise, excellent communication skills, and the ability to drive high-quality delivery in a fast-paced environment.

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading sprint planning, retrospectives, and technical prioritization to ensure timely and high-quality delivery. They will also collaborate with cross-functional partners to translate strategic goals into executable engineering work.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Technical Execution & Delivery
  • Lead sprint planning, retrospectives, and technical prioritization to ensure on-time, high-quality delivery.
  • Drive a consistent and high-quality development process across multiple engineering squads.
  • Collaborate with the CTO and product managers to translate strategic goals into executable engineering work.
  • Identify and resolve architectural or technical debt issues, escalating to Principal Engineer or CTO as needed.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • 7+ years of experience in software engineering, with at least 2+ years in engineering management.
  • Strong technical background in modern web development (e.g. Python, Node.js, Golang, React).
  • Familiarity with cloud infrastructure (AWS preferred) and modern DevOps practices (CI/CD, observability, IaC).
  • Experience working in high-velocity teams that ship iteratively while maintaining high standards.
  • Clear communicator with strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Bonus: Experience working in B2B SaaS, especially in HR tech or compliance-sensitive environments.
