Job Role: Financial Operations Assistant

The primary objective of the Financial Operations Assistant role is to deliver high-quality support services by facilitating day-to-day bookkeeping tasks, processing invoices and refunds, maintaining financial records, and investigating finance-related issues.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure accuracy in data entry and journal entries.
  • Process and manage invoices, refunds, and credits effectively.
  • Maintain and organize comprehensive financial records and documentation.
  • Investigate and resolve finance-related support queries efficiently.
  • Support ad-hoc financial operations tasks and data entry as required.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless financial workflows.

Essential Qualifications:

  • At least 1 year of experience in financial operations, accounting, or bookkeeping.
  • Strong attention to detail and numerical accuracy.
  • Highly organized and dependable with solid time management skills.
  • Proactive problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently without frequent escalation.
  • Proficiency in using communication tools like Slack and Gmail.

Bonus Skills:

  • Experience with QuickBooks or similar accounting software.
  • Familiarity with billing platforms (Chargebee, Stripe, Recurly, etc.).
  • Background in startups, SMEs, freelancing, or remote administration work.
  • CPA certification (desired but not mandatory).
