PostgreSQL Database Specialist Role

We are seeking a skilled PostgreSQL database specialist to join our team. This role involves designing and implementing relational data models and database architecture, writing performant and maintainable PL/pgSQL code, and collaborating closely with BI, backend, and product teams.

Responsibilities:
  • Design and evolve relational data models and database architecture.
  • Write performant and maintainable PL/pgSQL code to power business logic and data flows.
  • Contribute to refactoring and optimization of existing DB structures and processes.
  • Collaborate closely with BI, backend, and product teams to shape how our applications work.
  • Implement automated tests and CI/CD pipelines for database development.
Requirements:
  • 4+ years of experience in relational database development, preferably with PostgreSQL.
  • Strong knowledge of SQL and PL/pgSQL.
  • Experience with version control and modern dev workflows.
  • Good understanding of database performance and storage optimization.
  • Working knowledge of Linux environment.
  • Bonus points for scripting skills in Bash or Python.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines is a plus.
  • Experience with Docker and microservices is a strong plus.
