Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced professional to play a pivotal role in designing, building, and maintaining our data infrastructure. The successful candidate will work closely with engineers, data scientists, and stakeholders to ensure efficient processing, storage, and accessibility of high-quality data.

Key Responsibilities
  • Data Infrastructure & Pipelines: Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines using AWS services, focusing on reliability, security, and performance.
  • ETL Development: Build robust ETL processes to ingest, transform, and store data efficiently, leveraging data integration tools and techniques.
  • Database & Storage Optimizations: Manage and optimize relational databases to support business needs, ensuring data consistency, integrity, and scalability.
  • Data Quality & Governance: Ensure high-quality data through validation, monitoring, and governance best practices, implementing data quality frameworks and standards.
  • Automation & Scripting: Develop scripts and automation tools to streamline data processes and workflows, enhancing efficiency and productivity.
  • Data Presentation & Accessibility: Support business users by ensuring data is structured and accessible in reporting tools like Tableau or Metabase, providing insights and actionable information.
  • DevOps & CI/CD: Implement best practices for version control, testing, and deployment of data pipelines, ensuring continuous delivery and integration.
Qualifications
  • Proven experience in data engineering, working with cloud-based data platforms, such as AWS.
  • Strong proficiency in Python for data processing and automation, with expertise in libraries like Pandas, NumPy, and Scikit-learn.
  • Experience with SQL and database management, including data modeling, query optimization, and performance tuning.
  • Hands-on experience with AWS services such as Glue, S3, Lambda, and RDS, leveraging their capabilities for data processing, storage, and analytics.
