Job DescriptionWe are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Principal Transport Specialist to join our team in Manila, Philippines. As a key member of our Transport Sector Group, you will be responsible for overseeing the preparation of annual portfolio management plans, monitoring portfolio performance, and providing guidance on ADB policies and guidelines.
Your role will involve:
- Transport Portfolio Management: Coordinate and provide guidance on the preparation of annual portfolio management plans, including targets for contract awards, disbursements, project completion reports, and technical assistance completion reports.
- Transport Project Development and Processing: Lead the development of policy and strategies for the transport sector in developing member countries, conduct dialogues with government officials and other stakeholders, and administer complex loan/grant and technical assistance projects.
You will work closely with internal teams and external partners to achieve our goals and objectives. Your expertise and leadership skills will play a crucial role in shaping the future of transport infrastructure in the Asia-Pacific region.
Required Skills and QualificationsTo be successful in this role, you will need:
- A Master's degree or equivalent in transport/civil engineering, transport economics, or a related field.
- At least 12 years of relevant experience in the transport sector at senior technical or management level, preferably working for international organizations, governments, and consulting firms.
- Proven technical expertise in the development, planning, and operation of sustainable transport initiatives in developing countries.
- Ability to utilize and share relevant knowledge to benefit the broader ADB community and developing member countries.
