Are you looking for a challenging role that allows you to utilize your mechanical engineering expertise? We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer to join our Water Utilities team, where you will play a key part in delivering innovative solutions for our clients. Our ideal candidate has 7-10 years of experience in municipal water and wastewater treatment infrastructure projects, with strong expertise in pumping systems design, hydraulics, HVAC, and related mechanical engineering principles.

In this position, you will lead mechanical design management for medium-sized projects or packages, focusing on municipal water and wastewater treatment infrastructure. You will also mentor and provide technical guidance to junior engineers, designers, and drafters, ensuring quality assurance across all deliverables. Additionally, you will have opportunities to apply your skills and creativity to projects in other geographies and markets.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead mechanical design management for medium-sized projects or packages
  • Design and oversee pumping systems, including hydraulic analysis with considerations for transients and non-Newtonian fluids
  • Manage HVAC system design and integration within treatment facilities
  • Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior engineers, designers, and drafters
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent qualification
  • Proven 7-10 years of experience as a mechanical design lead specifically in municipal water and wastewater treatment infrastructure projects
  • Strong expertise in pumping systems design, hydraulics, HVAC, and related mechanical engineering principles
  • Eligible for Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) status and registration with professional bodies such as RPEQ, NER, or RPEV
