Role Overview

This role involves collecting rent from tenants, ensuring timely payments and maintaining accurate records.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Rent Collection: Initiate and follow up on rent payment reminders, engaging with tenants via various communication channels to ensure timely payments.
  • Communication: Effectively communicate with tenants regarding payment issues, establish payment plans and provide assistance when needed.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all rent payments, payment plans, and communication logs in a property management system.
  • Dispute Resolution: Collaborate with tenants to resolve disputes or questions related to their rent payments or leases.
  • Reporting: Provide regular updates to management regarding outstanding payments, collection efforts, and tenant interactions.
  • Compliance: Ensure that all collection processes adhere to legal requirements and company policies.
Requirements
  • Previous experience in rent collection, property management, or a related field is preferred.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills with a focus on customer service.
  • Detail-oriented and organized, with the ability to manage multiple accounts effectively.
  • Proficiency in property management software or databases is a plus.
  • Ability to maintain professionalism and empathy when dealing with tenants.
  • Knowledge of rental laws and regulations in the applicable market.
