Key Job Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for collecting rent payments from tenants and ensuring prompt resolution of any payment issues. They will initiate and follow up on rent payment reminders, engage with tenants via phone or email to discuss payment issues, establish payment plans, and provide assistance when needed.

  • Collect Rent Payments: Ensure timely receipt of rent payments from tenants and maintain accurate records of all payments received.
  • Communicate Effectively: Engage in regular communication with tenants via phone, email, or messaging platforms to discuss payment issues, establish payment plans, and provide support as needed.
  • Maintain Accurate Records: Maintain up-to-date records of all rent payments, payment plans, and tenant interactions in our property management system.
  • Resolve Disputes: Collaborate with tenants to resolve any disputes or questions related to their rent payments or leases.
  • Provide Regular Updates: Offer regular updates to management regarding outstanding payments, collection efforts, and tenant interactions.
Requirements
  • Previous experience in rent collection, property management, or a related field is preferred.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills with a focus on customer service are essential.
  • Detail-oriented individuals who can manage multiple accounts effectively will thrive in this role.
  • Proficiency in property management software or databases (e.g., Buildium, AppFolio) is a plus.
  • Ability to maintain professionalism and empathy when dealing with tenants is crucial.
  • Knowledge of rental laws and regulations in the applicable market is necessary.
