Accounting Support Specialist Role

We are seeking a diligent and proactive accounting support specialist to join our finance team. This role provides administrative and financial assistance to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Assistance:
    • Provide day-to-day accounting and administrative support to the Head of Finance
    • Assist with monthly management reports, including analysis and commentary
    • Support offshore team with supplier invoice processing and reconciliations
    • Maintain and monitor fixed asset registers
    • Assist with journal entries to ensure financial record accuracy
    • Prepare weekly payroll
  • Month-End & Year-End Support:
    • Assist offshore team in month-end and year-end close processes
    • Prepare supporting reconciliations and documentation
    • Assist in producing management accounts for leadership teams
  • Reporting & Analysis:
    • Help prepare clear, concise financial reports to support decision-making
  • Administrative Support:
    • Manage finance inbox and respond to queries in a timely manner
    • Handle supplier setup and process local payments
    • Process sales reimbursements and expense claims
    • Maintain vehicle compliance requirements
    • Update daily cashbooks to ensure accurate cash flow records
  • Ad Hoc Support:
    • Provide additional assistance on finance projects and other tasks as required
    Requirements
    • 5+ years solid accounting experience, including multi-entity accounting
    • Proven ability to communicate effectively with senior leadership and multiple entities
    • Comfortable operating in global environments with different currencies and time zones
    • Exceptional English communication skills (written and verbal); prior global exposure valued
    • Team management and leadership experience an advantage
    • Familiarity with NetSuite ideal
    • Proficiency in payroll processing and awareness of current AI/automation trends in finance
    • Strong attention to detail, problem-solving mindset, and organizational skills
    • Ability to thrive independently and collaboratively in fast-paced environments
    • Valid CPA license a plus
