Property Accountant Position

The role of Property Accountant involves overseeing daily accounting tasks and ensuring the financial accuracy of assigned properties. The successful candidate will possess a strong understanding of accounting principles, be highly organized, and have excellent attention to detail.

The ideal candidate will also demonstrate the ability to analyze complex financial data, develop accurate forecasts, and effectively communicate findings to stakeholders. Additionally, experience with accounting software and proficiency in MS Office are highly valued.

  • This is a remote position with flexible working hours.
  • The work schedule is Monday to Friday, 8 PM to 5 AM Manila Time.
Accounting Responsibilities
  1. Record and process journal entries to ensure all business transactions are accurately documented.
  2. Update accounts receivable and issue timely invoices.
  3. Perform reconciliations for accounts payable and update records as necessary.
  4. Assist in preparing balance sheets, income statements, and other financial reports according to legal and company guidelines.
  5. Conduct thorough reviews of expenses, payroll records, and other assigned tasks.
  6. Update financial data in databases to ensure accuracy and availability at all times.
  7. Prepare and submit regular reports on financial performance.
  8. Collaborate with senior accountants on monthly/yearly closings and other projects.
  9. Conduct annual CAM, tax, and insurance escalations, and prepare tenant packages.
  10. Provide backup support for vendor relations and sales usage.
  11. Develop and submit quarterly property snapshots and financial statements.
  12. Generate and submit various reports, including aging reports.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • Proven experience as a US Accountant.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Good understanding of accounting and financial reporting principles.
  • Proficiency in MS Office.
  • Familiarity with accounting software, such as Yardi, is an asset but not required.
  • Experience in real estate or hospitality industry is highly valued.
