Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Cloud-Scale Backend Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our engineering organization, you will play a crucial role in architecting and implementing core services that interface with AI workflows, manage data access from structured and unstructured sources, and support seamless orchestration between our AI layers and data infrastructure.

Your primary responsibility will be to design and develop performant, production-grade backend APIs and services using cloud-native technologies such as AWS Lambda, EC2, and RDS. You will also integrate structured and unstructured data access layers with AI agents, architect retrieval pipelines using vector databases to enable semantic search for AI agents, and coordinate with data engineers to support Real-Time Guardrails across a shared data lake.

In addition, you will develop and maintain task routing, memory management, and agent orchestration logic, contribute to platform-level observability, metrics, logging, and diagnostics for agentic tasks, and deploy and manage Model Context Protocol (MCP) servers to wrap scraping, proxy, and JS-rendering tooling as standardized MCP services.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • 4+ years of backend development experience, with strong programming skills in Python or Node.js.
  • Deep experience with serverless architectures, microservices, and AWS (Lambda, EC2, RDS).
  • Familiarity with AI orchestration frameworks such as LangGraph, LangChain, or equivalent.
  • Working knowledge of vector databases (Chroma, Pinecone) and semantic search.
  • Solid database and API design expertise, particularly with PostgreSQL.
  • Experience building scalable, low-latency backend systems for AI or data platforms.
