Financial Crime Prevention Specialist Job Overview

The Financial Crime Prevention Specialist is a critical role in protecting our financial systems by preventing illegal activities like money laundering, terrorism financing, and fraud.

About the Position
  • Verify customer and business identities through Know Your Customer (KYC) and Know Your Business (KYB) processes.
  • Monitor transactions to prevent suspicious activity.
  • Collaborate with partner banks on request.
  • Submit Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs) to the Chief Compliance Officer.

A key aspect of this role is adhering to internal procedures and achieving performance metrics, focusing on processing time and accuracy.

Requirements
  • Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new insights and skills.
  • Proficiency in English required.
  • Knowledge of global Anti-Money Laundering (AML)/Countering the Financing of Terrorism (CTF) practices.
  • Proficiency in KYC processes.
  • Experience with Transactions monitoring/Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD) process.
  • Strong understanding of financial services and their regulatory framework.
  • Proficiency in KYB processes.
  • Previous experience in FinTech or startup environments is highly beneficial.

This position requires flexibility in scheduling and willingness to work weekend and night shifts. The ideal candidate will possess excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as strong communication and teamwork abilities.
