About the Role

This is a Financial Planning Associate role where you will work closely with experienced advisors to prepare and implement financial plans for clients.

You will be trained to become an expert on insurance products, superannuation, and tax strategies.

  • Assist advisors in creating comprehensive financial plans for clients by gathering their financial information and conducting research on insurance products and financial concepts.
  • Analyze financial needs analysis reports to support the development of financial plans.
  • Collaborate with advisors to identify suitable investment strategies based on client needs and goals.
  • Present and review financial plans with clients during meetings attended by advisors.
  • Work with clients to ensure they provide necessary financial documents and information.
Key Responsibilities
  1. Develop financial plans for clients in consultation with advisors.
  2. Conduct research on insurance products, superannuation, and tax strategies.
  3. Prepare financial needs analysis reports and analyze data.
  4. Identify suitable investment strategies for clients based on their needs and goals.
  5. Presentation skills are required to communicate complex financial ideas to clients.
  6. Maintain accurate records of client information in our database.
Competencies and Qualifications
  • A minimum of 3 years' experience as a Paraplanner or similar role in the financial industry is preferred.
  • Accounting knowledge is highly advantageous.
  • Strong numerical reasoning skills and good mathematical skills.
  • Familiarity with legal documents related to insurance products.
  • A desire to become an expert in both insurance products and financial planning advice.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient in MS Excel and Microsoft Office.
  • Meticulous attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and take initiative.
