Senior Management Accountant Role Overview

This position presents a valuable opportunity to contribute significantly to multi-country operations while working in a supportive environment.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to prepare and analyze monthly management accounts, ensuring timely completion of tasks.
  • Present financial results at regular meetings with senior management, facilitating informed decision-making.
  • Prepare balance sheet reconciliations and BAS/IAS returns accurately, maintaining compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Establish effective relations with external auditors, efficiently addressing audit queries and concerns.
  • Partner with Commercial Managers to develop and implement budgets and forecasts, aligning business objectives.
  • Provide support for Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) as required, ensuring seamless financial operations.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Minimum 4 years of experience in Australian accounting and tax, preferably in media or related sectors.
  • Possession of a recognized accounting qualification, such as CA/CPA, is highly desirable.
  • Relevant experience in managing diverse revenue streams, including memberships, events, and advertising, is essential.
  • Proficiency in Sage Intacct is a significant advantage, allowing for efficient financial management.
  • Familiarity with Chargebee and HubSpot is beneficial, enhancing software skills.
  • Highly autonomous and self-motivated individuals with strong analytical skills are ideal candidates.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing multiple tasks and meeting deadlines.
