Role Summary

We seek an experienced automation engineer to lead our transition from manual QA processes to a robust automation-first approach. The ideal candidate will help define and implement end-to-end test strategies working closely with our engineering team.

The successful candidate will have experience designing and running tests against applications built with Ruby on Rails backends and React frontends.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop a comprehensive QA automation strategy across our web-based platform.
  • Select and implement suitable automation tools and frameworks.
  • Create detailed test plans, test cases, and automated test scripts.
  • Collaborate with developers and QA teammates to ensure high test coverage.
  • Automate regression, functional, and integration tests across the stack.
  • Support and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated testing.
Nice to Have Qualifications
  • Familiarity with Svelte, Jira, or AWS is beneficial.
Team Structure
  • You will work directly with our U.S.-based engineering team and collaborate cross-functionally with frontend and backend developers.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • QA Automation: 6+ years of experience.
  • Proficiency in Selenium, Cypress, or Playwright.
  • Experience testing against Ruby on Rails APIs/backends and React-based frontends.
  • Test Case Management Tools (e.g., TestRigor, TestRail): 2+ years of experience.
  • API Testing: 2+ years of experience.
  • CI/CD Integration: 2+ years of experience.
