As a technical operations professional, you will play a critical role in supporting the operational backbone of our organization.

The ideal candidate will have a technical background and experience building automations and operational systems. You should be comfortable and professional on the phone, with a persistent and courteous follow-up style.

A strong written communication skill is essential, with crisp and concise updates and documentation. High learning rate and curiosity are also key attributes, as you will need to pick up new tools quickly and improve them.

Key responsibilities include task ownership and follow-through, handling inbound and outbound calls to stakeholders, anticipating issues and creating buffers, reminders, and contingency plans to keep tasks on track, and developing a system for receipts.

Workflow automation is also a key component of this role, including designing low-code automations using tools like Notion, Airtable, Slack, and Zapier to streamline tasks. Ensuring automation reliability with logs and alerts is crucial.

Facilitating regular check-ins with engineering on project progress, blockers, and next steps, keeping documentation and project boards up-to-date, and using AI tools for drafting communications, SOPs, and summaries are also important responsibilities.

Documentation and runbooks are essential, including structuring Notion spaces and writing SOPs. Tracking a visible 'waiting-on-others' list, ensuring timely follow-ups with clear SLAs, and following a set cadence for reminders and escalating when needed are also critical skills.

Requirements:

  • Technical background or equivalent fluency working with engineers
  • Demonstrated experience building automations and operational systems (portfolio, screenshots, or diagrams welcome)
  • Comfortable and professional on the phone; persistent and courteous follow-up style
  • Obsessive attention to detail and reliability; zero tolerance for dropped threads
  • Strong written communication; crisp, concise updates and documentation
  • High learning rate and curiosity; you pick up new tools quickly and improve them
  • Bias for action, high energy, and calm under changing priorities
