Project Coordinator for Conservation Initiatives

NTFP-EP Asia, an association of 30 members with over 100 partner organizations and community-based groups working with forest-based communities, seeks a Project Coordinator to support the implementation of its conservation initiatives.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of project management principles, excellent communication and organizational skills, and experience working in regional or multi-country programs. S/he will be responsible for coordinating with regional and country-level partners, developing and managing project timelines and work plans, facilitating donor communications, and monitoring field activity progress.

The Project Coordinator will also provide logistical support for validation workshops and knowledge dissemination events. This is a full-time position with flexibility for remote work and occasional field travel. The role will be supervised by the Program Officer for Community-Based Conservation.

The successful candidate will possess at least 5 years of experience in project coordination or management roles, preferably in environmental conservation or a related field. S/he will be able to work independently and collaboratively across diverse teams, and have a strong commitment to indigenous peoples' rights and biodiversity conservation.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Coordinating with regional and country-level partners
  • Developing and managing project timelines and work plans
  • Facilitating donor communications and ensuring compliance
  • Monitoring field activity progress and supporting timely delivery of outputs
  • Providing logistical support for validation workshops and knowledge dissemination events
