Job Overview

We are seeking a seasoned engineer to join our team and contribute to the development of customer-centric products. The successful candidate will be responsible for learning our codebase, working closely with experts to design and develop innovative solutions, and collaborating with product managers and other engineers to estimate, plan, and execute initiatives.

The ideal candidate will have advanced experience as a Full Stack Ruby on Rails + React developer and will possess strong technical skills, including automated testing and end-to-end testing framework experience. A proven track record of mentorship and coaching of engineers is also essential.

Key Responsibilities
  • Participate in code review and uphold best practices.
  • Collaborate with Product Managers, project leads, and other engineers to estimate, plan, and execute larger initiatives.
  • Proactively identify structural issues in our codebase, address critical tech debt, and improve the reliability of our product and developer experience.
  • Independently progress on major product initiatives by owning parts of our initiatives.
  • Mentor and promote an inclusive and high-performing culture through day-to-day actions.
Requirements
  • Advanced experience as a Full Stack Ruby on Rails + React developer.
  • Recognized within your immediate organization as a person to ask when difficult questions arise.
  • Strongly opinionated about the necessity of automated tests and able to determine what level of automated testing is necessary for a particular feature.
  • Experience with an end-to-end testing framework such as Cypress or Playwright.
  • Experience and interest in mentorship and coaching of engineers.
