Role Overview

This management-focused role requires strong leadership, technical expertise, and the ability to manage and supervise mechanical engineering operations across our vessels. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing budgets, validating requirements, and ensuring smooth technical operations, all while maintaining high safety and operational standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee engineering operations of the company's vessels
  • Manage fleet-wide mechanical engineering activities
  • Supervise budget management, requests, and requirement validation
  • Lead technical teams, provide leadership, and ensure optimal performance
  • Collaborate with the Ship Management Head and Division Head for planning and execution
  • Facilitate compliance with safety, regulatory, and company standards
  • Support continuous training and development for technical staff
  • Conduct occasional vessel inspections and audits
Qualifications & Requirements:
  • Graduate of a 4-year Marine course preferred
  • Applicants without a 4-year degree must have at least 5 years of supervisory experience in marine engineering
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Excellent technical knowledge of marine engineering systems
  • Proven ability to manage budgets and resources effectively
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills

Licenses & Certifications:

  • Chief Engineer License preferred
  • Seaman's Book
  • All prerequisite licenses prior to Chief Engineer certification
  • Relevant training certifications
