Cash Allocations Specialist

This is a challenging role that involves working with various stakeholders to ensure accurate and timely recording of cash receipts. As a specialist, you will play a key role in the Order-to-Cash department, applying day-to-day recording of cash receipts for allocated countries.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Monitor incoming cash daily and process all Bank Receipts accurately and promptly
  • Allocate Debtors suspense amounts appropriately and record cheque receipts, log cheques, and follow through until receipt confirmation
  • Process Direct Debits and coordinate with Treasury for approvals, investigate and resolve discrepancies, and maintain documentation for transactions and reconciliations
  • Perform month-end activities, including account reconciliation and reporting, collaborate with credit control for complex unallocated payments, and contact customers for remittances and resolve outstanding cash issues
  • Review and action Unallocated Cash regularly, provide guidance on unresolved team cases, develop system knowledge related to assigned processes, and ensure tasks comply with company policies, internal controls, and Sarbanes-Oxley
Requirements:
  • Effective communication skills for interacting with various stakeholders, attention to detail and accuracy, ability to collaborate and achieve goals with diverse teams, comfortable in a fast-paced environment, independent problem-solving skills, strong organizational and time management skills, willingness to train and mentor others, and problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Fluent in English, university or college degree, at least 3 years of experience in Shared Service Centers in similar roles, proficiency with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, JD Edwards, etc.), and experience with Banking portals
