Job Title: Medical Records Coordinator

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized individual to fill the role of Medical Records Coordinator. The successful candidate will be responsible for retrieving medical records from healthcare providers on behalf of law firms, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in all requests.

About the Role

This is a fully remote position, allowing you to work from anywhere and enjoy a better work-life balance. As a Medical Records Coordinator, you will play a critical role in supporting our clients' needs, ensuring seamless communication, and maintaining the highest level of documentation quality.

Your Key Responsibilities:
  • Identify relevant providers associated with a client's treatment, including billing providers and related entities.
  • Locate medical records using tools such as Chartswap or other medical records exchange platforms.
  • Maintain accurate and complete submission packets, ensuring cover letters, affidavits, and provider-specific requirements are correct.
  • Review and correct incoming ROIs (Release of Information forms), which are often incomplete or inaccurate.

Requirements:

  • Prior experience requesting medical records from providers on behalf of law firms, with proven ability to meet turnaround time and throughput targets.
  • Strong attention to detail, demonstrated ability to maintain high accuracy in documentation and ROI packet preparation.
  • Proficiency with Adobe and PDF editing/combining tools.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for handling escalations and client coordination.
  • Proactive problem-solving mindset and ability to manage multiple requests simultaneously, ensuring timely completion within client SLAs.
