Medical Billingspecialist

We are seeking a skilled Medical Billing Specialist to join our team. As a Medical Billing Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the timely and accurate processing of medical claims.

• Review medical necessity appeals and ensure they are processed in accordance with regulatory requirements
• Fax appeals to the appropriate party and maintain accurate records of communication
• Set reminders to follow up on appeal status and escalate issues as needed
• Confirm in-network provider ability to service new members and update our database accordingly
• Attend weekly team meetings and contribute to discussions on process improvements and best practices

• Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g. healthcare administration, business) or equivalent experience
• At least 2 years of experience in medical billing, including provider credentialing, authorizations, reimbursement, and denial management
• Excellent computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word)
