Accounts Payable / Accounts Receivable Staff

Our dynamic finance team is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accounts Payable / Accounts Receivable (AP/AR) professional to manage both accounts payable and receivable functions, ensuring timely and accurate processing of financial transactions while maintaining strong relationships with vendors and clients.

Responsibilities
  • Process vendor invoices and employee reimbursements accurately and promptly.
  • Evaluate and authorize payments in accordance with company policies.
  • Schedule and prepare payments via secure online platforms.
  • Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
  • Maintain organized records of payments and vendor files.
  • Assist in month-end closing by preparing AP-related reports.
Key Responsibilities for Accounts Receivable
  • Generate and send customer invoices in accordance with contract terms.
  • Monitor accounts for overdue balances and follow up on outstanding receivables.
  • Apply customer payments accurately in the accounting system.
  • Collaborate with sales and customer service teams to resolve billing issues.
  • Reconcile AR ledger and support month-end reporting processes.
Additional Responsibilities
  • Review and approve payroll runs.
  • Review payroll reports for exceptions prior to processing.
Requirements
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
  • 2–3 years of experience in an AP/AR or general accounting role.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Netsuite, Sage).
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with integrity.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Skills
  • Experience with accounting systems.
  • Familiarity with internal controls and accounting standards.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team-oriented environment.
