AU Senior Tax Accountant

Looking for a challenging role in tax accounting? We have an exciting opportunity for a senior tax accountant to join our team. As a senior tax accountant, you will be responsible for completing working papers and assisting the onshore team with client's tax compliance reports.

About the Role
  • Preparation and lodgement of individual income tax returns
  • Preparation and lodgement of business activity statements
  • Preparation and lodgement of installment activity statements
  • Preparation and lodgement of fringe benefits tax returns

You will also be responsible for handling fundamental and core aspects of clients' tax compliance and may assist with advanced tasks provided by the Accounting Manager or Service Delivery Manager.

Responsibilities
  1. Bookkeeping in client accounting files including Xero, MYOB and occasionally Quickbooks
  2. Payroll processing in client accounting files including Xero and MYOB
  3. Uploading invoice payments for clients
  4. Processing quarterly superannuation payments
  5. Preparation of monthly management reports (i.e., P&L and balance sheet) for clients from their accounting platforms
Qualifications
  • Graduate degree in Finance and/or Accounting
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Chartered Accountant (CA) is preferred
