Financial Analysis Expert


Job Overview

The Financial Analysis Expert will play a critical role in supporting the business by developing and maintaining complex financial models.

Responsibilities include analyzing underwriting performance, claims trends, loss ratios, and reserve adequacy to identify risks and opportunities.

The successful candidate will also be responsible for preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.

Additionally, they will monitor key financial and operational KPIs specific to the insurance industry.

Collaboration with actuarial, underwriting, and claims teams is essential to ensure alignment of financial metrics with operational performance.

The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of non-life insurance financial statements and key industry metrics.

They should possess advanced Excel skills and proficiency with financial systems.

Effective communication and teamwork skills are also essential.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Developing and maintaining complex financial models.
  • Analyzing underwriting performance, claims trends, loss ratios, and reserve adequacy.
  • Preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
  • Monitoring key financial and operational KPIs.
  • Collaborating with actuarial, underwriting, and claims teams.

Preferred qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field; CPA or CFA preferred.

Minimum 5 years of experience in financial analysis, preferably within the insurance industry (P&C, life, or health).

The ideal candidate will be highly organized with attention to detail and able to multitask, prioritize, and deliver results on time under pressure.

Flexibility to meet continuously changing priorities and challenges is also essential.

Good written and verbal communication skills are required.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team is necessary.
