Job Overview

The system infrastructure team is responsible for designing, implementing and delivering server products and services worldwide. This role works closely with other teams to achieve global standardization, scalability, and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

  • This role is responsible for planning and executing Virtual Machine (VM) migrations across multiple environments with minimal downtime.

    The role also involves administering and maintaining Linux-based systems supporting production workloads.

    Additionally, the role involves managing hypervisor platforms for provisioning, migration, and lifecycle management.

  • This role requires strong hands-on experience with Linux administration and proven expertise with hypervisors such as Proxmox VE and VMware vSphere/ESXi.

    Proficiency in scripting languages such as Bash, Perl, and Python is also required.

    Practical experience with infrastructure automation using tools like Puppet and Ansible is essential.

    A track record of successful VM migrations in enterprise environments is highly valued.

    Knowledge of change management practices and excellent troubleshooting skills are also essential.

    Able to work flexible hours including out-of-hours maintenance windows.

Required Skills and Qualifications

Technical Requirements:

  • Strong hands-on experience with Linux administration (Ubuntu, Debian, RHEL or similar).

  • Proven expertise with hypervisors: Proxmox VE and VMware vSphere/ESXi.

  • Proficiency in scripting languages (Bash, Perl; Python a plus).

  • Practical experience with infrastructure automation (Puppet, Ansible).

  • Track record of successful VM migrations in enterprise environments.

  • Knowledge of change management practices.

  • Excellent troubleshooting skills in virtualized and Linux environments.
