Accounting Professional Opportunity

This role provides a chance to be part of a dynamic and values-driven finance team, supporting core general accounting operations, including reconciliations, journal entries, tax and compliance processes, and audit preparation.

  • The successful candidate will play a vital role in maintaining the accuracy and integrity of financial data, working closely with the Financial Accountant.

The ideal candidate will possess strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and effective communication abilities for cross-functional collaboration. They should also have a solid understanding of internal controls, financial compliance, and SOX adherence.

A bachelor's degree in Accountancy or a related Finance field is required, along with at least three years' proven experience in accounting or finance roles, preferably in a multinational or multi-entity environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Record transactions accurately across the general ledger, including tax transactions and cash movements.
  • Perform daily bank reconciliations and provide cash flow reports.
  • Assist in preparing monthly accruals and ensure completeness of expenses.
  • Track prepayments and allocate expenses accurately across the appropriate accounts.
  • Support the preparation and processing of monthly journals and reconciliations.
  • Assist in preparing and submitting compliance obligations including payroll tax, FBT, GST, and BAS for review.
  • Maintain fixed asset registers, including managing additions, disposals, and depreciation.
  • Coordinate supporting documentation for audit and tax requirements.
  • Contribute to updating and maintaining SOPs for key finance processes.
Skills and Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Accountancy or related Finance field.
  • At least 3 years' proven experience in accounting or finance roles, with exposure to general accounting processes such as AP/AR, reconciliations, intercompany, and general ledger management—preferably in a multinational or multi-entity environment.
  • Proficient in accounting systems such as Netsuite or SAP.
  • Solid understanding of internal controls, financial compliance, and SOX adherence.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy in managing financial data and documentation.
  • Demonstrated ability to meet strict deadlines and reporting timetables, including support for month-end and year-end closing activities.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills for cross-functional collaboration.
  • Self-motivated with strong prioritization and organizational skills, able to work independently and show initiative.
