Financial Operations Specialist Role

This role is a hands-on position that requires a well-rounded accounting professional to manage the full spectrum of bookkeeping and financial operations.

  • Manage day-to-day accounts payable, receivable, and payroll.
  • Ensure accurate financial data is captured, reconciled, and reported to support business decision-making.

The role plays a critical part in ensuring financial reporting, data analysis, and budgeting support for the leadership team.

Key responsibilities include:

  • General reconciliation of books and financial transactions.
  • Maintain and update supplier invoices in accounting software.
  • Perform regular account reconciliations to identify discrepancies and rectify errors.
  • Follow up with suppliers for outstanding accounts and ensure timely payment.
  • Assist in the preparation of financial reports and statements.
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and company policies.
  • Identify areas for process improvement and implement streamlined procedures.
  • Support other clerical business functions.
  • Collections and accounts receivable as required.
  • Other position-level duties as they arise.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field.
  • Qualifications in Accounting, Finance, or Business (Diploma or higher) preferred.
  • Minimum of 3+ years' experience in bookkeeping.
  • Excellent command of written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in accounting software.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial record keeping.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Integrity and ability to maintain confidentiality.
