Overview: A skilled Virtual Support Specialist is required to provide administrative and operational support in a fast-paced healthcare environment. Key responsibilities include managing company email, handling intake calls, assisting with insurance verification, and coordinating referrals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and organize company email inboxes to ensure timely responses and follow-ups.
- Handle intake calls from patients, families, and referral sources with professionalism and empathy.
- Assist with insurance verification, prior authorizations, and documentation support.
- Coordinate and process referrals from hospitals, clinics, and case managers.
- Communicate effectively with case managers, patients, and internal staff to ensure seamless care coordination.
- Utilize RingCentral for call management and communication.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation within the CRM system and Alora EMR software.
- Support the home health team with scheduling, data entry, and administrative tasks as needed.
- Uphold confidentiality and compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a Virtual Assistant, Administrative Assistant, or in a healthcare-related role with home health experience.
- Familiarity with insurance processes, referrals, and prior authorizations in healthcare.
- Proficiency with RingCentral, CRM platforms, and Alora (or similar EMR software).
- Strong organizational skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work independently in a remote setting.
