The role of Payroll Strategist involves leading the direction, compliance and operational excellence of payroll functions across the organization. This position ensures that payroll operations support business objectives while maintaining full compliance with local labor laws, tax regulations and corporate governance standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage end-to-end payroll activities to ensure accuracy and error-free delivery.
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive payroll strategy aligned with business goals, local regulations and global standards.
  • Lead payroll transformation activities on system upgrades, process automation and efficiency enhancements.
  • Serve as the payroll subject matter expert for executive-level discussions on compensation and benefits.
  • Establish internal controls and audit mechanisms to ensure payroll accuracy and legal compliance.
  • Lead internal and external payroll audits and address findings promptly.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge on compensation markets to ensure competitiveness and attractiveness of overall remuneration.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resource Management or an equivalent field is required.
  • At least 10 years of experience specializing in Payroll and Compensation Benefits or equivalent is necessary.
  • Knowledge of HRIS systems such as Workday and Workforce System is advantageous.
  • Excellent leadership, communication and management skills are essential.
  • High integrity and a commitment to compliance and operations excellence are required.
