IT Infrastructure Expert Role

The IT infrastructure expert is responsible for designing, implementing, maintaining, and securing the organisation's IT infrastructure. This role supports the IT lead in ensuring enterprise IT systems' reliability, security, and performance, contributing to continuous improvements and modernisation efforts.

This position requires a deep understanding of Microsoft technologies, including Windows Server administration, Microsoft 365 services, and Azure environments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Infrastructure Management: Manage and maintain Windows Server environments, including Active Directory, Group Policy, and DNS/DHCP.
  • Cloud Services Administration: Oversee and administer Microsoft 365 services, including Exchange Online, SharePoint, OneDrive, and Teams.
  • Cloud Infrastructure Development: Deploy and optimise cloud infrastructure within Azure, including virtual machines, networking, and security configurations.
  • Security and Compliance Management: Implement and manage Microsoft Defender for endpoint, identity, and cloud security, as well as work with Microsoft Purview to ensure compliance, data governance, and security policies.
  • Tech Support: Provide technical support for escalated infrastructure-related incidents and service requests.
Qualifications

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in IT infrastructure engineering, focusing on Microsoft technologies
  • Hands-on experience with Windows Server administration, Microsoft 365, and Azure environments
  • Relevant certifications such as Azure Administrator or equivalent are advantageous
