UpSkill MNL is seeking a skilled Enterprise Computing Operations Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for the operational management of our computing services, ensuring their stability and innovation. You will achieve this through analysis and solutioning, focusing strategically at all times while identifying automation opportunities to simplify the operational model.

The successful candidate will assist our End User Computing operations manager and solutions team in providing operational support and management of the relevant platforms. They should expect to spend much of their time managing, supporting, and maintaining the day-to-day aspects of our End User Computing platforms, analyzing current services, identifying and communicating operational improvements, assisting in the delivery of new solutions, administering patching cycles, and addressing identified vulnerabilities with end-user platforms.

This role offers remote working, with domestic travel required as needed. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, able to articulate platform architectures, operational processes, and remediation skills to offshore engineering groups.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide Operational Engineering and support against global End User Computing platforms (e.g., Intune, Active Directory, JAMF).
  • Assist Solutions engineers and Technical management as required with maintenance and enhancements of all aspects of the End User Computing environment, including processes and documentation.
  • Identify engineering operational improvements, articulate them to platform owners, and deliver improvement programs.
  • Maintain Information Security focus through risk mitigation and data loss prevention practices.
  • Participate in developing engineering skills of offshore engineering teams through consultation and supported technical documentation. Engage in 3rd-line analytical problem-solving to support Service Delivery SLAs.
  • Create high-quality technical documentation and training materials.
  • Ensure the smooth operation of monthly patching cycles on MS platforms and third-party systems.
  • Engage in investigations to address identified vulnerabilities in end-user platforms and manage the deployment of appropriate fixes.

Requirements:

  • An ITIL qualification is desirable but not essential.
  • A basic understanding of how applications interact with the Windows Operating System is critical, as is experience in Enterprise Microsoft products and expertise in Active Directory.
  • 2+ years of experience with core technologies such as SCCM, Intune, Active Directory, Group Policy, Windows 10/11, and Microsoft 365 Suite.
  • Demonstrable experience with patch management technologies (including Windows Update for Business), methodologies, and processes is highly desirable.
  • Experience with PowerBi, Power Automate, and Log Analytics is desirable.
  • Can demonstrate fundamental Microsoft Azure competency/awareness and has experience developing scripted solutions with Microsoft PowerShell.
  • Will be a self-motivated achiever, quickly grasping and interpreting salient information, with the ability to take a can-do approach without supervision.
  • Experience with MS Defender for Endpoint (MDE) is desirable.
