We are seeking a skilled Facade Structural Engineer to join our team of professionals. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Civil/Structures) and proven experience in facade design engineering within a facade consultancy or facade contractor.

The role will involve carrying out design engineering for facade and build-ability consultancy, including material knowledge and installation techniques. You will also perform detailed engineering computations and structural facade analysis, provide facade design advice and reporting to clients on buildings projects, and be accountable for all facade documentation including calculations, drawings and specifications.

Additionally, you will review contractor submissions; shop drawings and calculations, manage projects and administer tasks, assist in preparing tender submissions, and attend inspections during construction, installation and fabrication as required.

To be successful in this role, you will need to communicate effectively with the design team and work autonomously. You will also need to build and maintain relationships with clients on projects and develop contacts within the facade industry.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Civil/Structures)
  • Proven experience in facade design engineering within a facade consultancy or facade contractor
  • Familiarity with relevant local codes and standards related to facades
  • Proficiency in relevant facade & structural finite element software e.g. Strand7, Mepla
  • Excellent problem solving and organisational skills
  • Able to work independently with some supervision where required
