Job Title: Smart Buildings Specialist

We are seeking a skilled professional to join our team as a Smart Buildings Specialist. As a key member of our organization, you will play a vital role in deploying our platform for customers, helping them understand how to operate and optimize their building systems.

Your primary responsibilities will include collaborating with project managers and engineers throughout all project stages, supporting product development, customer support, and customer success teams, reviewing project documentation, performing data tagging and skill activation across multiple sites, analyzing data via platform frontend, database, or API, and ensuring data quality.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver projects from start to finish.
  • Provide technical expertise and support to product development, customer support, and customer success teams.
  • Review project documentation and create diagrams such as network topologies.
  • Perform data tagging and skill activation across multiple sites, ensuring data quality through quality assurance reviews.
  • Analyze data via platform front end, database, or API, comparing it with other applications.
  • Ensure all data collected and transmitted to our platform is of the highest quality and accuracy.
  • Partner with other teams to support customer discovery sessions and workshops to define scope and requirements.
Requirements:
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in Building Automation Services or similar fields.
  • Qualifications in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering are advantageous, but eagerness to learn new technology is more important.
  • A strong understanding of building technologies such as HVAC controls, BMS, lighting controls, energy metering, IT/OT/IoT devices, networks, access controls, and security technologies.
  • Experience in Fault Detection & Diagnostics and troubleshooting in Building Automation/Energy Management Systems.
  • Knowledge of technical documentation like network topologies, wiring diagrams, points lists, and manuals for systems like BMS, EMS, Security, and Lighting.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel or MS SQL at an intermediate to advanced level.
  • Excellent fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
