Accounting Expertise

We seek an accomplished accounting professional to lead our organization's financial reporting efforts. As a seasoned Senior Accountant, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of accounting information.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Record, verify, consolidate, and enter transactions to maintain the accuracy of accounting information.
  2. Prepare and record asset, liability, revenue, and expenses entries by compiling and analyzing account information.
  3. Maintain the general ledger by transferring subsidiary accounts, preparing a trial balance, and reconciling entries.
  4. Summarize financial status by collecting information and preparing balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and other key reports.
  5. Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual close responsibilities and ensure team members stay on track during close.
  6. Partner with cross-functional teams across the organization to drive process efficiency and optimize results.
  7. Ensure deadlines and controls are met in accordance with policies and procedures.
  8. Manage deliverables to external auditors on annual audits and quarterly reviews.
  9. Lead internal audit engagements and complete external audits by analyzing and scheduling general ledger accounts and providing information for auditors.
  10. Avoid legal challenges by complying with legal requirements.
  11. Secure financial information by completing database backups.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree and more than seven years of experience in finance or accounting or a related area.
  • Extensive experience in US non-profit accounting including reporting and compliance (tax).
  • Knowledge of U.S. GAAP and/or IFRS.
  • Certified Public Accountant is a plus.
  • Experience in a Big 4 firm is a plus.
  • Strong MS Excel skills.
  • Experience developing financial reports and metrics.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to interact with various management levels.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and adapt to a changing, fast-paced environment.
