Senior Accounting Professional

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial management, with expertise in financial accounting and transaction processing. They will serve as an ambassador of our company's values and standards, providing 100% accurate and complete financial statements to controllers.

As a senior accounting professional, you will be responsible for overseeing the month-end close process, ensuring adherence to timelines and checklists. You will review final profit & loss (P&L) scrub and approve journal entries prepared by staff, ensuring the accuracy of the balance sheet workbook.

Additionally, you will oversee the preparation of financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow reports. You will identify and resolve discrepancies in financial reports through variance analysis and review staff-prepared financial statements and supporting schedules.

In this role, you will also lead budgeting and forecasting efforts for real estate projects, provide financial insights and recommendations to support cost-saving initiatives and revenue growth, and update and maintain cash flow forecasts regularly.

You will prepare and submit sales tax returns, coordinate, review, and submit annual 1099s, and support the preparation and submission of personal property tax filings. You will manage recurring weekly accounting processes, review customer invoicing, vendor bills, and process payments, and approve and submit payroll.

This is a full-time position that requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and problem-solving mindset. The ideal candidate will have fluency in English (written and spoken), technical knowledge of QuickBooks Online and Advanced Excel skills, and familiarity with US GAAP and accounting best practices.

Key Responsibilities:

Requirements:

• 5+ years of accounting experience in financial close, variance analysis, and payroll processing.
• Fluency in English (written and spoken).
• Technical Knowledge: Strong proficiency in QuickBooks Online and Advanced Excel skills.
• Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and problem-solving mindset.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating with a remote team.
• Familiarity with US GAAP and accounting best practices.
