Chong Hua Hospital is seeking a dedicated and skilled Security Officer to join its team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in law enforcement, criminology or a closely related field, and a minimum of three years' experience in surveillance, CCTV operations, security or law enforcement.

The successful applicant will be responsible for supervising the security team, monitoring day-to-day security operations and activities, and ensuring the safety and security of patients, visitors and staff. Key duties include:

  • Monitoring and operating the CCTV surveillance system, including contacting investigation/emergency response teams as necessary
  • Completing reports by recording observations, information, occurrences, and surveillance activities; submitting written and verbal reports to senior officers/Department Head as required
  • Giving guidance to assigned security team members on procedures to be followed in line with their post
  • Maintaining liaison with facility administration, security officers/managers and General Services AVP on security matters
  • Providing proactive monitoring services in CHH while complying with all hospital, department, local regulatory protocols and standards
  • Operating and maintaining equipment, including recording devices and video printing equipment
  • Carrying out instructions in relation to incidents in line with set protocols
  • Ensuring accurate entries are made in all CCTV Monitoring Room documentation as instructed following established processes/procedures
  • Reviewing and copying CCTV images and exhibiting them as evidence; coordinating investigation activities as needed
  • Accurately maintaining records of duties carried out in the control room to provide an evidential audit trail; preparing reports for the department as necessary

To be considered for this role, applicants must possess:

  • A Bachelor's degree with a major in law enforcement, criminology or a closely related field
  • At least three years' work experience in surveillance, CCTV operations, security or law enforcement
  • Knowledge of pertinent national and local laws, codes, and regulations
  • Knowledge of forensic science and crime scene investigation principles, methods, and techniques
  • Knowledge of R.A. 5487-AN ACT TO REGULATE THE ORGANIZATION AND OPERATION OF PRIVATE DETECTIVE, WATCHMEN OR SECURITY GUARDS AGENCIES
  • Excellent interpersonal and people management skills
  • Results-oriented
  • Proficient in computer software applications and systems, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint, and Internet-based search and research
