Overview

As a detail-oriented and experienced Revenue Cycle Management Professional, you will play a crucial role in supporting the credentialing, billing, and accounts receivable processes for our organization.

You will work closely with our team to ensure smooth revenue cycle operations and a high standard of accuracy, compliance, and patient satisfaction.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of dental billing systems, insurance processes, and claim management.

Responsibilities
  • Complete and process provider applications.
  • Maintain accuracy and completeness of provider data in the database.
  • Communicate effectively with our team throughout the credentialing process.
  • Proactively follow up on application statuses and missing information.

Billing and AR responsibilities include:

  • Reviewing all aspects of the revenue cycle process including insurance verification, claims submission, payment posting, and AR follow-up.
  • Utilizing practice management software to enter data, prepare reports, and ensure accuracy.
  • Investigating and resolving denied, delayed, or underpaid claims.
  • Monitoring AR aging reports and following up on overdue accounts.
  • Analyzing claim denials and communicating root causes to our team.
  • Researching and gathering missing information needed for claim processing.
  • Collaborating with dental providers and staff to gather necessary documentation.
  • Handling appeals for denied claims with proper documentation.
  • Tracking claim progress and providing proactive updates to the team.
  • Maintaining detailed records of all follow-up activities and claim outcomes.
Requirements
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in dental billing and revenue cycle management.
  • Proficiency with dental billing software (OpenDental, Dentrix, Eaglesoft) and dental coding (CPT, ICD-10).
  • Strong understanding of insurance billing processes and dental insurance plans.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong technical skills and/or ability to learn quickly.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently.
  • Positive, patient, and professional demeanor.
Physical Demands & Work Environment
  • May be required to sit or stand for long periods.
  • May be required to work more than 40 hours/week.
  • May be in a studio environment which can be noisy/distracting.
