Senior Financial Specialist

About the Role

As a Senior Management Accountant, you will play a key role in supporting our finance team. You will be responsible for providing accurate financial reporting and analysis to executive leaders, enabling them to make informed decisions that drive business success.

The ideal candidate will have 4+ years of experience in Australian accounting and tax, preferably in media or related sectors. A qualified accountant (CA/CPA) is required, along with relevant experience in diverse revenue streams such as memberships, events, and advertising.


You will also need to possess strong analytical skills, be highly autonomous, and self-motivated. Process improvement-oriented individuals with excellent interpersonal skills are highly valued in this role.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to prepare and analyze monthly management accounts.
  • Presentation of financial results at management meetings.
  • Preparation of balance sheet reconciliations and BAS/IAS returns.
  • Management of external auditor relations and audit queries.
  • Partnership with Commercial Managers to prepare budgets and forecasts.
  • Support for Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) as needed.
Requirements

Must Haves:

  • Australian accounting and tax experience.
  • Qualified accountant (CA/CPA).
  • Diverse revenue stream experience.
  • Sage Intacct experience desirable.
  • Familiarity with Chargebee and HubSpot advantageous.
