Job Description

The primary objective of this position is to ensure the accuracy and reliability of financial transactions and accounts.

  • Account for all incoming and outgoing payments.
  • Compute and enter commissions on a timely basis.
  • Maintain accurate records, statements, and follow-up letters.
  • Supply necessary information for overdue accounts.
  • Control advance deposits by recording, posting, and balancing.
  • Respond to guest inquiries and account disputes.
  • Process travel agent commissions only to authorized agents.
  • Balance subsidiary accounts receivable ledgers monthly.
  • Prepare quarterly reports on accounts receivable.
Administrative Responsibilities
  • Perform duties with professionalism and integrity.
  • Report unusual incidents, guest complaints, and losses to the supervisor.
  • Attend briefings and meetings as requested.
  • Participate in hotel training programs.
  • Contribute to cost savings on guest supplies and consumables.
  • Adhere to company policies and procedures.
Technical Requirements
  • Report to work in prescribed attire and maintain a professional appearance.
  • Receive instructions from the supervisor at the start of the shift.
  • Perform duties responsibly and efficiently.
  • Knowledgeable about guest supplies, consumables, and promotional materials.
  • Utilize necessary working tools and equipment effectively.
  • Greet guests and colleagues politely.
  • Listen attentively to guests and respond accordingly.
  • Continuously develop new ideas and techniques.
  • Confirm guest satisfaction and report any complaints to the supervisor.
Commercial Opportunities
  • Communicate effectively with guests, clients, and staff.
  • Promote the hotel's image and reputation.
  • Participate in community projects to enhance relationships.
Human Resources Dynamics
  • Establish and maintain positive relationships with staff within and between departments.
  • Assist colleagues in performing tasks to foster teamwork and success.
Relationships
  • Report to unit managers or department heads as needed.
  • Communicate with guests to deliver products and services.
  • Interact with co-staff in service and supporting departments.
  • Collaborate with employees of other departments for special functions.

Job Specifications
  • Minimum education: High Vocational diploma in Accounting.
  • Minimum 1 year accounting experience.
