Job Description

The Global Server Life Cycle team is responsible for designing, planning, implementing, delivering, and maintaining server infrastructure products and services. This role works closely with the Global IBX teams, Global Operations, and Product organizations to drive excellence, standardization, scalability, and customer satisfaction.

  • As a key member of the team, you will manage multi-vendor server infrastructure platforms, ensuring a world-class infrastructure by performing routine OS upgrades, installations, configuration management, migrations, and decommissioning to deliver stable and reliable services.

  • This role involves planning and executing VM migrations, administering Linux-based systems, managing hypervisor platforms, developing automation scripts, implementing infrastructure automation, creating migration plans, and supporting legacy system decommissioning.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you must possess strong hands-on experience with Linux administration (Ubuntu, Debian, RHEL, or similar).

  • You should also have proven expertise with hypervisors: Proxmox VE and VMware vSphere/ESXi.

  • Adequate proficiency in scripting (Bash, Perl; Python a plus) is required.

  • Practical experience with infrastructure automation (Puppet, Ansible) is essential.

  • A track record of successful VM migrations in enterprise environments is necessary.

  • Knowledge of change management practices (MOPs, CMRs) is beneficial.

  • Excellent troubleshooting skills in virtualized and Linux environments are crucial.
