Job Overview

The Customer Service Officer role is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic environment.

This position involves coordinating animal transport from source farms to customer farms, ensuring that animals are delivered efficiently and effectively.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Consolidate availability and sales forecast reports for distribution to key stakeholders.
  2. Communicate with Account Managers to flag excess gilts and boars availability, and coordinate updated orders with Contract Production Officers.
  3. Submit monthly forecast reports to internal and external customers, highlighting trends and insights.
  4. Secure necessary permits and arrange animal transport from source farm to customer farm, tracking movement until arrival.
  5. Provide end-of-month transport cost analysis on animal deliveries.
  6. Review and route QARs for approval, ensuring compliance with company standards.
  7. Process third-party delivery truck billings and train staff on PIC protocols and audit for compliance.

This role also involves monitoring third-party truckers' adherence to contract terms and SLAs, as well as performing other tasks assigned by the manager.

Requirements
  • At least 3 years of experience in logistics and transport roles.
  • Strong knowledge of different modes of transport, technological advances, and best practices in logistics.
  • Customer-focused mentality, with excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Above-average planning and organisational skills.
  • Excellent communication and coordination skills.
  • Intermediate knowledge of MS Office applications.
  • Willingness to adapt to flexible work schedules, including outside standard working hours.
