Job Summary

This role focuses on building and managing a data warehouse project.

Main Responsibilities
  • Develop an orchestration framework using Google Cloud Composer, ensuring seamless workflow management.
  • Create complex DAGs in Python, implementing dependency management, triggers, and scheduling logic to meet the project's requirements.
  • Establish a comprehensive monitoring and alerting strategy for all orchestrated pipelines to guarantee optimal performance.
  • Implement CI/CD processes for deploying and testing DAGs to maintain their quality.
  • Collaborate with ingestion and transformation engineers to integrate their workflows effectively.
  • Manage the operational health of the data platform, handling retries and failures to ensure its continuous operation.
Requirements
  • Expert-Level DAG Authoring: Demonstrable mastery of authoring complex DAGs in Python.
  • Cloud Composer (Apache Airflow): Deep experience managing a production Cloud Composer environment.
  • Python for Orchestration: Expert-level Python proficiency as it applies to writing clean and efficient Airflow DAGs.
  • CI/CD for Data Pipelines: Experience implementing continuous integration and deployment workflows for DAGs.
  • Monitoring & Alerting: Strong knowledge of setting up and using monitoring tools to track pipeline performance.
