Server Infrastructure Engineer

The Server Life Cycle team designs, plans, implements and delivers server infrastructure products and services worldwide.

Responsibilities:
  • Execute virtual machine migrations with minimal downtime
  • Administer Linux-based systems for production workloads
  • Manage hypervisor platforms for provisioning, migration and lifecycle management
  • Develop automation scripts to support migration, monitoring and operations
  • Implement infrastructure automation using Puppet and Ansible for system configuration, deployment and scaling
  • Prepare migration plans and change requests for smooth execution
  • Perform scheduled maintenance in line with change management processes
  • Decommission legacy systems, including service removal and data sanitization
  • Document system, process and migration records
  • Identify and implement process improvements and automation opportunities
Qualifications:
  • Hands-on experience with Linux administration (Ubuntu, Debian, RHEL)
  • Expertise with hypervisors: Proxmox VE and VMware vSphere/ESXi
  • Scripting skills (Bash, Perl; Python a plus)
  • Practical experience with infrastructure automation (Puppet, Ansible)
  • Track record of successful VM migrations in enterprise environments
  • Knowledge of change management practices (MOPs, CMRs)
  • Troubleshooting skills in virtualized and Linux environments
  • Flexible hours and strong communication skills
