Facilities Maintenance Specialist


Job Description:

The Facilities Maintenance Specialist is responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of building systems, including HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, and electrical systems. This involves performing routine inspections, identifying potential hazards, and implementing corrective actions to prevent equipment breakdowns.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical engineering and experience working with building management systems. A valid license as an Electrical Engineer is also required.


Responsibilities:
  • Conduct regular evaluations of equipment and facility costs for repairs and maintenance.
  • Lead projects for facilities improvement, developing project plans, establishing priorities, assigning and delegating tasks, guiding team members, anticipating and avoiding problems, and monitoring task completion.
  • Maintain all building systems, including HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, pumps, generators, tanks, and packaging equipment.
  • Implement preventive maintenance schedules and strategies to minimize equipment breakdown, maximize efficiency, and ensure safety standards compliance.
  • Perform routine inspections to identify electrical hazards, ensure compliance with electrical codes and regulations, and recommend corrective actions.
  • Review and evaluate preventive maintenance contracts and project bid proposals.
  • Recommend project proposals for improvement of facilities to the immediate superior.

Qualifications:
  • Licensed Electrical Engineer
  • 2-3 years of experience in manufacturing plant and building electrical systems
