Job Description:

The primary objective of this role is to oversee the efficient and safe operation of electrical and automation systems within a greenhouse facility. This involves handling installation, repair, preventive maintenance, and technical support for power, control, and environmental systems essential to agricultural production.

  • Conduct daily inspections and preventive maintenance of greenhouse electrical systems and controls.
  • Install, repair, and maintain wiring, lighting, power supply, circuit breakers, fuses, relays, and greenhouse-specific electrical components.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve electrical faults in irrigation, fertigation, climate control, and automation systems.
  • Monitor energy consumption and identify potential hazards or inefficiencies.
  • Assist in the installation, testing, and commissioning of new greenhouse equipment.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant safety regulations and internal standard operating procedures.
  • Respond promptly to emergency electrical issues to minimize downtime.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of repairs, inspections, and maintenance activities.
Required Skills and Qualifications:

Education / Certification

  • Must be a duly licensed Registered Master Electrician (RME).
  • Knowledgeable in occupational safety and health standards.
  • Basic knowledge of Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) and automated control systems is an advantage.

Experience

  • At least 2–3 years of solid experience in electrical installation and maintenance, preferably in agricultural, greenhouse, or industrial facilities.
  • Hands-on experience with motors, control panels, pumps, generators, and automated systems.
  • Strong ability to read and interpret technical diagrams and electrical schematics.
