Life Skills Coordinator Job Description

Gateway Rehab seeks a skilled Life Skills Coordinator to develop and coordinate life skills programming for the residential program. The Coordinator is responsible for implementing daily activities and providing coverage for the counselor technician position as needed.

  • Coordinate Community Service activities, including organizing and documenting necessities passes for outside shopping.
  • Engage with patients during Community Service activities, observing and interacting with them.
  • Document Community Service hours performed by each patient.
Responsibilities
  1. Develop and implement a Life Skills curriculum for patients, including GED training, job search planning, OVR contact, resolution of legal issues and debt reduction planning.
  2. Conduct daily room inspections and address cleanliness with patients as needed.
  3. Organize and implement therapeutic recreational activities.
  4. Implement evidence-based practices in therapeutic recreational activities.

Required skills and qualifications include:

  • High school diploma or GED.
